Le chemin de lucioles, de crapots, de grenouilles, de couleuvres, de sautrelles, d’huart, de loups..nous y sommes finalement….

 We completed our Straw Bale Garage…Maman was then able to say good bye to Hindley….beautiful home…beautiful community…many friends and neighbors and gorgeous choir of frogs to lull us to sleep the spring and summer evenings….the move was on mid February 2007.

 La position d’enseignement et le beau terrain a la campagne en meme temps….ce n’etait pas si simple que ca….ca allait quand meme…..nous sommes restes a Portage Lodge a Kenora sur le Big Stone Bay Road……Linda et Keith Nash nous avons acceuillis le 19 mars 2007 apres avoir voyage une matinee de terreur(pous Maman seulement) sur la route #1 glacee entre Falcon et Kenora.

We set up shop at Portage Lodge…for 1 month….5 days at dear friends Pam and Andy on Sunny Side Road…..then…to Beggs….where we…currently extremely hot…..are happy as clams.

Lindz and I, my niece, now enjoy time together as she is working at Beauty Bay Golf course not far away…..Visits from Marc….Steve & Jill, Barb….and beautiful neighbors are a plenty….yet to see you out here Bryce!!!  I will call you….formal invitation….also…Jane came by…the boy’s Dad, Michael comes out as well to spend time with the boys and enjoy the country…..Meme & Pepe come out regularly to lend a hand and spend some time….

Tout est bien…tout est beau……

UNE AVENTURE … L’ÉCOLE PUBLIQUE!!

Après 7 ans et 2 mois d’éducation à domicile…ou l’école est le monde entier.. les gars et moi avons décidé à cause de notre situation financière d’aller à l’école publique!!!  Beh oui…nous avons tous les trois discuté longuement ce besoin et ont finalement accepté cette réalité mi-été.  C’était un processus.

 Donc, un nouveau habillement pour chacun grâce à Mémé et voilà…une nouvelle aventure à l’école publique.

 Rémy a commencé le 6 septembre avec Mme.Druwé, pleine journée!!! 

      

Et..pendant que Rémy travaillait fort à l’école, Michel travaillait fort à la maison.

  

La maison pour les chats cet hiver…2 étages, isolée…pas mal du tout.  Quand Rémy rentre à la maison…c’est directement au chef d’oeuvre.

SCHOOL!!!

After much discussion, the boys and I agreed that we needed to try out the public school system as Maman needed to return to work in order to make ends meet.  About mid summer, we all came to a peaceful acceptation of this prospect.

We can certainly say that the homeschooling experience was soooo fulfilling and we are ever so grateful for the freedom and spontaneity that schooling at home offers.  The world is our school.  We will continue to homeschool in collaboration with École Christine Lésperance..partners in education.

So, new outfits for the boys thanks to Mémé…and off to school.

Rémy started on the 6th of September with Mme Druwé as his Grade 2 teacher.

While Rémy enjoyed his first day at school, Michel was hard at work at home, building a cat house for felines this winter.  Bi-level, insolated pad…pretty good.  Rémy joined in the construction as soon as he arrived home from school.

À la campagne, une belle conduite chez notre chère amie Shirley.  Elle vit au sud à peu près 1 heure de chez nous.  Nous adorons y aller…pas d’autos, de bruit…la belle et vaste prairie avec ces bisons, vaches et routes de graviers et Sam!

Off to the country to visit Shirley.  To the south about an hour from our home…gravel roads, bison, cows….and Sam!
